Uses
This page is inspired by uses.tech which is a directory (made by @wesbos) of tech people sharing specifics about the hardware/software they use.
Development
Jetbrains PhpStorm—My main editor to work with for client and personal web development projects
Godot Engine—The engine I use for game development. They have their own IDE that I also use. Personally, I installed it through Steam to keep track of the hours I work in it as a fun stat.
Warp—I recently switched terminals from iTerm2 to this one.
Fork—I'm still looking for a great visual git client but I always tend to default back to the terminal for git.
Obsidian—My go to tool for notes and simple projects management. I used to roll with Apple Notes itself but I like some of the extras Obsidian provides.
Aseprite—Game development also means art assets. While learning pixel art you'll find me struggling in Aseprite.
Blender—The go to tool for 3D assets during game development. I might also do a little modelling for non game related fun.
FamiStudio—Another aspect of game development is sound. For this I'll mostly be experimenting in FamiStudio for that NES feeling. I might other music editors later.
FireFox—I mostly make use of FireFox for development as I'm so used to it for the developer tools. For personal browsing I tend to stick to Apple Safari.
Hardware
16-Inch Macbook Pro M1 Max 64GB—My development machine of choice. Not ideal for gaming itself but development goes fine on this one.
Apple Studio Display—I splurged a bit and got myself 2 Apple Studio Displays to work from. I usually have 1 in landscape and 1 in portrait mode for maximum efficiency.
Secretlab Magnus Pro—A great standing desk with lots of space. I went with the black version. I also added the dual monitor arm, a single monitor arm and the laptop mount.
2Secretlab Titan Evo—Chair of choice while keeping in theme with the rest of the setup.
Elgato Wave3—My microphone for meetings and streaming. Though I sometimes also switch to the next item in the list.
Apple Airpods Pro—My go to headset for when I'm on the go. Wether that is at a client's office or a personal retreat.
Logitech MX Master—After trying some of the Apple products I decided to go with the Logitech MX Master collection for keyboard and mouse.
